The Collaborative Action Projects (CAP) initiative was developed out of a desire to support projects that create clear pathways for underrepresented community leaders to achieve positions of influence. Two-year grants totaling over $344,000 were distributed in the fall of 2016 towards the following five projects:

• Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute
• Candidate and Campaign Manager Pipeline Project
• Leadership Development and Community Civic Engagement Project
• Leaders in Housing and Transportation Justice
• North County Immigrant Leadership Project
